Boxycharm – July 2015

Man, I am a serious slacker! I have had soooo many subs come in and just haven’t been able to get around to the review process! Works has been crazy, the house has been crazy and my shop Jumping Jackalope has been very active! I have started carrying a few new lines in addition to the messenger and field bags.

Anywho…on to Boxycharm

Boxycharm is a monthly sub for $21 a month and you will receive 4-5 deluxe and full sized samples

This month, Boxycharm was debuting a new to the USA brand, MDM Flow. There was a lot of hype for the mascara that was to be included:

MDMflow Mascara – Value $35

Unfortunately, the mascara did not live up to the hype and many charmers were very disappointed. The packaging is beautiful and feels very deluxe, but alas, the formula is not up to spec. Many, myself included, thought the mascara had dried out due to the very minimal amount of product that actually dispenses on the wand. MDM Flow and Boxycharm responded with videos and emails on how to “prime” the mascara, which involved pumping the wand (which most of you know is usually a huge no-no). MDM Flow claims that their “technology” keeps air from getting in the tube, apparently, it also keeps product from coming out. One user on Facebook had mentioned “they had high hopes for the golden tampon” LOL This ended up in the trash after many attempts of “priming” the product….

Gorge I’ll Make Your Look Amazing Daily Spray – Value $29.95

I was already familiar with this product from FabFitFun. It is a do-it-all product that you spray on damp hair and leave in. I honestly didn’t notice a difference in my hair whatsoever, but others sweat by it.

Vasanti Professional Blush Brush – Value $29

I am currently taking a MakeUp Artist course and have been amping up my arsenal, so I was stoked to receive a quality brush. This brush is very soft and holds product. I liked it so much, I swapped for a second!

yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder – Value $26

I actually use this product as a bit of a highlighter and helps give me a matte finish. Also helps with blending when I go a little heavy handed with the blush/bronzer.

OFRA Baby Doll Lipliner – Value $13

This lip liner was the perfect shade for me. Goes on smooth and has nice pigmentation!

Conclusion: This actually wasn’t my most favorite Boxycharm, but I did receive practical items and I am in love with the brush. Considering I received about $133 in products for $21, I am still pretty ecstatic with my Boxycharm sub!
