RueLaLa had a 4 month BeautyDNA sub for sale for around $60 back in June and I jumped on it!
Beauty DNA is a monthly sub for typically $25 a month. After a very vigorous survey, they match you to beauty products. You’ll receive 1 full sized sample with a detailed card explaining why they chose that product for you.
This is my 2nd month of the sub (the first was amazing!):
This month I was matched with two items:
Refresh Salicylic Acid 2% Peel – Value $29.95
I was excited to see this product in my box! While my dermatologist has gotten my awful hormonal cycstic acne under control, I still have the occasional breakout and need something to immediately rid myself of the issues. This product comes with a dropper to dispense on a cotton ball and apply to your skin. The product is a bit harsh and shouldn’t be used on broken skin, and you should definitely moisturize after using
Briogeo Blossom & Bloom ™ Ginseng + Biotin Volumizer – Value $18 (From Sephora)
This product gets pretty good reviews on Sephora and I can always use some volume for my extremely fine/thin hair. It has a very fine mist, smells great and works wonderfully. I actually had volume without excessive teasing and hair spray!
Beauty DNA also included a bonus item (at least I am assuming it’s a bonus item since there was no card or anything else):
Dr. Brandt Skincare pores no more® cleanser – Value $35
I always love getting facial cleanser. I attempt to keep up my skin routine including washing it at least twice a day, so I always go through my facial cleanser pretty quickly
Conclusion: Beauty DNA has hit it out of the park for my first two months! While I don’t think I would pay the $25 a month for this service, but if every month had 2-3 full sized products, I wouldn’t hesitate. With what I paid on the Rue La La deal, I couldn’t be happier!
